As we start on our photography journey on social media, there can be times when we can easily feel disappointed, stuck, and discouraged because our work doesn’t get enough likes or follows. No matter how much we try to leverage Instagram tags and tricks, we might not see the same results or success as some photographers seem to have.
Social media is a great tool for creatives. The fact that our photos can be seen by millions of people worldwide, for free, is just crazy and mind-blowing. The exposure and amount of opportunities are amazing.
Except, this is not always true. The quality and number of our audience are heavily dependent on algorithms. Your photos might not be seen by enough people and even those who do, might not be the right audience. Also, every person is special and so are their perspectives
Hence, it is important to do your own thing! Embrace your originality. Create what you love and don’t give up. Comparing yourself with someone else is unjustified and frankly, unfair.
